I would like to announce that as of today both KH and I are qualified PADI open water and advanced open water - with nitrox - scuba divers. How cool is that?
It has taken since last Friday to compete all three courses and today I have an afternoon off. Tomorrow we start a diver rescue course, and seen as I am first aid trained to my eyeballs, I don't need the first aid certificate. This is good in two ways:
1. I have the afternoon off to chill by the pool, maybe to do some shopping.
2. It saves me about 50 pounds to go and spend on the shopping!
So right now I am happy and relaxed. Our best dive from the 9 we have just done? Well I quite enjoyed the night dive we did. It was very dark but some interesting beasty's come out at night... Also our last dive we took underwater cameras down with us and though our visibility was so poor, I enjoyed taking snaps in a different environment!
We have made some good friends on the course. There is Donna and Jane, who are both english. One from Whitby and the other from Brighton. Both are lovely and are coming shopping with me this afternoon. If there is any thing anyone wants, like CD's or DVD's, or even a cheap t-shirt or new swim suits, then let me know soon as I leave here on the 29th Feb. I don't mind what it is as long as it doesn't weight too much and as long as I can find it!
I hope all is well at home. I know it is more interesting for you to read all about my travels and what I am up to, but I like to know whats happening at home too! So an update every now and then is cool. Though I have to say that some of you have been pretty good at this. No complaints to anyone.
Well much love for now, I will be posting some of the better underwater snaps when I can, so look out for them real soon...
Izzie :)x

Hello Izzy, it sounds as though you are having a 'whale' of a time!
It's a good job we are all different because I don't think I would take much pleasure from poking about in the dark under water, with or without a camera, but you obviously enjoy it.
Veronica and I have enjoyed looking at your pictures. When you meet up with my boys again, perhaps you would be kind enough to show either one how to take photographs and attach them to an email for me.......
Glad to know you are enjoying yourself. Keep up the good work.
Hi Izzy, you've got the other one this time! You both seem to be doing lots of great stuff and I must say that I think I would prefer to stay on top of the water. We have had lovely weather here - bright and sunny, a bit chilly, but dry. Spring flowers are growing fast and Tony is "chitting" some new potatoes! You won't believe this but I chipped off all the tiles on our bathroom floor last weekend - at long last, and the floorboards look quite good. We are off to a Quiz 'n' Chips at the Golf Club on Friday and to a Wedding Anniversary bash on Saturday - what gadabouts we are becoming, you will not recognise us when you get back! I have a dilema for tonight - whether to go to the theatre alone, or stay home and watch England play cricket against New Zealand! Will you be going to see them play when you meet up with the boys in Wellngton?
Keep safe, both of you and keep sending your messages, they are fun to read. xxxxxxxxxxxx
Yes we are all going to the test, though Kathy and I will only be at the first day of the test.
Great news about the bathroom, I bet it looks fab.
I have to say that this stay on the island was supposed to be restful, instead we have been out diving everyday! We have two days left of our current course, then we have 5 days to relax before we head back to Bangkok.
Are there any DVD's or CD's you would like? Because they are so cheap here I can get them for you. Have a think and just let me know, it is no trouble to get them for you.
Izzie
