Well hello all from Vientiane, Laos! It is a vibrant city, possibly the size of Kings Lynn, if its even that big... I hope I find you all well.
Our last week has been full to the brim with new sights, sounds and smells. It has been fun, exhausting and scary at points. I never once thought that I would end up nightclubbing in Thailand, but we did.
The last days we spent in Thailand were fulled with drives in Davids car to remote villages and Thailands world heritage sights. We also experienced a full diet of Thai food, of which you will all be pleased to know I tried the vast majority.
Monday was spent trying to get a passport for a car of all things; David and his wife Nook had decided that they fancied a trip into Laos and, since David is wheelchair bound, he decided he wanted to take his private car. Hense the passport. We had a few issues getting there, but we did finally get the book signed and stamped, in all it took us just over 4 hours to cross the boarder. Upon arrival we spent a few hours searching first of a posh hotel for David, then me and KH trudged our own way to find a reasonable Hostel. The one we picked out was full, as was the next one. We tried the 3rd and we got lucky. Very lucky in the price, location and what was included. Good find!
Next few days we spent driving the countryside looking at villages. On Wednesday we got to explore the city better, with a museum thrown in for good measure!
David left on Wednesday and we took the pace of our trip down to reflect and plan our next move.
Today we booked a 2 day excursion north of the city to the up and coming adventure town, and booked onto a day of kayaking and caving. KH is a bit worried by her lack of experience, I relish it... Will make sure she is fine on the day though.
Well that seems to be past present and future for this time, so I will sign off now.
M&D - have sent letters to nan and grandma, I hope they get them soon!
Lots of love and keep writing back!
Izzie

Hi Izzie, good to hear from you and you seem to be having a great time. Keep the messages coming, it's lovely to hear your news. Not much happening here except lots and lots of rain....Spoke to Graham Button (aka Trigg) hockey captain and Nomads are not doing too well at the moment but the good news is that his wife is expecing their second baby in May....I now swim twice a week and need expert instruction on how to swim faster....
Keep safe, Izzy Whiz, thinking of you every day.

Hi Izzie, hope all is well. We are fine and it has at last stopped raining. Snowdrops, primroses and crocuses now in the garden, daffodils nearly out too. Had a 'girlie' day yesterday with my mum and sister, plus lunch, plus some retail therapy. It was fun. We have been busy so not much time for decorating! Hope to be going to Paris in March.
Keep safe and catch up later.
